{ REF bmSubject \* MERGEFORMAT} In footer

Hello,

I have a strange issue in that I see something like { REF bmSubject \* MERGEFORMAT} in the footer of my Word Document. When someone else opens the same copy they do not see it. Is there a way to toggle Word to shut this view off and go back to the 'normal' footer?

You are seeing field codes displayed. Press Alt-F9 to toggle this.
