Default Unable to print envelopes in Word 2010 & 2013

Hi,

I have been trying to print envelopes for several hours without success on three different computers. I've used three different printers, the main one being a Samsung CLX-3185. I also have access to a Brother HL 2140 and a Brother HL-5340D.

Tests I've tried:

1. Print the document below to a standard #10 envelope. Result: nothing printed. The envelope is NOT printed blank. Instead, nothing at all happens.
2. Print envelope materials to a letter sized paper. Results: nothing printed. The envelope is NOT printed blank (nothing happens).
3. Print letter sized word document to envelope. Result: letter information printed onto envelope. The document was not shrunk to fit on the envelope, instead it was printed at normal size and there was substantial cutting off on both of the thin sides of the envelope, as one would expect when printing a big document onto a small area

From the above tests I believe that something is misconfigured in Microsoft Word. We tried on three different printers, made sure to set the envelopes correctly in the paper trays as instructed by the user manuals, and yet the only time the printing work successfully was one Microsoft Word thought we were printing a letter document and not an envelope document.

Here is a test document that includes the first envelope from my file:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/gb6bwcp7o1...Envelopes.docx

As you can see, the document is configured to print on a #10 envelope.

None of the printers even attempt to print the page after the 1st attempt. On the first attempt I can hear the printer making noises if it's getting ready to print, but the noise dies early. the status screen on my Samsung shows no indication of an error.

I just can't seem to figure out how to print this!

Thanks for any help

Do you get any error messages? Have you checked the printer queue to see whether the print jobs are clearing it? Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Word Options|Resources|Diagnose)?
