Question Fail-safe way to print right page range?

When I use sections and tweak page numbering, it backfires and sometimes throws me off in printing. It's usually not a big deal, but when I print duplex and pagination is critical, the whole print batch is wasted.

I always forget that the page range in Word's Print dialogue box is based on the page numbers that each page will bear, not the absolute number that starts with 1 on the first page. The wisdom of this scheme is in doubt too, because how do you account for multiple sections that all start with page #1? (Yes, you can use the section identifier - e.g., s1p1 - s3p10 - but it's still not as intuitive as using the absolute page numbers.

In any event, since there doesn't seem to be a way to compel Word to accept the absolute page numbers in printing, is there a fail-safe (or fool-proof) way to make sure that what you are asking to print is what you want to print? A macro perhaps?
