Menu Bar locked

The Word menu bar is now vertical on the right hand side of the screen. The icon that allows you to move the toolbars is missing. How can I move the menu bar to the top of the screen?

Can you not simply left click and hold down the button anywhere on the bar and drag it up to where you want?

Many Thanks. This lead me to edit the data file in the registry which worked.
