To my knowledge, your margins are based upon how they are set in the normal (Print Layout) view...not upon the optional document views. With that in mind, the 'white space' you speak of cannot be used.
As you noted, the ruler is disabled in the Outline view. However, the "Draft" view does illustrate the ruler enabled and gives you the same basic view as the Outline view. |
