I have a user who's having a strange problem with Office. In particular Word, and the tool tips dissappearing (Win732bit, Office 2010 32bit, Lenovo T420)

What will generally happen is after opening a doc (all affected, doesnt matter which we open) the tool tips work fine, you hover over anything, up they come. However after a few minutes, or when opening other programs they just stop working and you get nothing. Not until you repair office.

Have tried: reboot, repair of office, disable all add-ins, run as admin, only open normal programs - outlook, ie etc, repaired .net (v4), re-installed Java.


We've tried and failed to find the cause for this. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
