Hi,
I am trying to implement something into a word table within a document. Any time this document is reviewed and amended, the page numbers of the pages that were amended are noted down in a table within the document. However, if an amendment to the document, such as inserting 3 new pages, occurs, some of the page numbers of the previous amendments are now incorrect. Is there any way i can instead of manually changing the page numbers, like the amended pages to the table so they automatically update? Thanks |

Perhaps you could use a bookmark for each amendment you want to see in the table?

I had thought about this, but i came stuck on the process of displaying the page numbers of the bookmarks in an auti-updating manner.
Any thoughts? Thanks |

Just speculating here, but if bookmarks behave like fields it might be as simple as Select all and Update fields? Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer at present.

If you bookmark a change, you can use a PAGEREF field (which can be created via Insert|Cross-References) to output the page # on which the bookmarked range first appears. If you later add pages, simply use Ctrl-A then F9, to update the cross-references (and other fields).
