Default Formatting by Bullet Level

Hello,

I have a very long legal document in which every paragraph is numbered. Is there a way to format text by the level of the number?

For example, is there a way to have Word automatically go through a document and change:

1. Title
a. Text

2. Title
a. Text

to

1. Title
a. Text

2. Title
a. Text

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Set up your numbered list so that each level has a paragraph style attached to it. See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...g20072010.html. Note that you will have to apply the paragraph styles to text manually when reformatting the document.
