cellophane is on a distinguished road
Default

Each 'section' is a separate document, meaning there are 200+ separate files that need updating.

i.e.

000000 - Project Manual Cover.doc
000101 - Title.doc
002113 - Instructions to Bidder.doc
etc

I'll look into the master template thing but some help will definitely be appreciated

thanks for the reply!

edit - the other big issue is that the section (file) names can't change and are sorted into sub-folders by Masterformat Spec Sections. This is a client requirement and they are extremely picky about it.

(folder) 00 - Procurement & Contracting
000000 - Project Manual Cover.doc
000101 - Title.doc
002113 - Instructions to Bidder.doc

(folder) 01 - General Requirements
010001 - etc
012106 - etc

(folder) 02 - Existing Conditions
020325 - etc
023165 - etc

and so on.
