Post Persistant Data in Word 2007

Hi all,

I am using Word 2007 to write documents that accompanies software and whenever a new release of the software goes out we have to update this document.

My problem is that the version of the software is referenced multiple times throughout the document but I was wondering if there was any way to link parts of my document to one field so that when I update that field all occurences of that data within the document is updated?

Is this possible in Word 2007 in compatibility mode?

Thanks in advance,

Soultech
