I've been trying to build a table for my business that has fields to be filled in with customer information. I'm running into two problems: 1) When I try to adjust size of a cell, one or more other cells (often cells 10 lines or more away) will decide they need to be re-sized as well. And 2) As I adjust the width of the cells, the whole table slowly gets wider, mostly moving to the left, until I can't see the sides of the table anymore. Sometimes, even trying to click the down arrow on the "Width" in the "Cell Size" section on the "Layout" tab causes this to happen.
Generally speaking, I can correct the issue for a few lines and get things to work, but I have a full page table with varying sizes for the cells. There was one point where I nearly had the whole thing complete, and then a huge section skewed again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: I have tried all the different "Autofit" settings. Switching between them will sometimes temporarily correct the issue, but the fix doesn't persist. I've also tried messing around with the Table Properties, including size, alignment, positioning, and "options." All to no avail. |

Offhand, I would suggest that the Autofit settings are what you don't want;l you comment suggests that you have been using them, rather than setting specific widths for table and preferred widths for columns. In this regard, you should be setting amounts in inches, not percentage.
Does this help? Best, ULodesk |
