![]() I have a phrase with white font and the background highlighter is black. So that the first and last letter of the phrase stand out a bit more, I have a blank space at the beginning of the phrase. But it will not let me insert a blank space at the end of the phrase... the black highlight ends right at the last letter of the phrase. How to fix? |

Anyone... is there a way to insert a blank space (other than the space bar) in a Word doc? Using the space bar, it is not recognizing it, if it was, the blank space would have a black background (highlighted), but it stops at the last letter. I'm just trying to put some black background a little beyond the lst letter.

You could use a non-breaking space. Ctrl-Shift-Spacebar.

Bingo, you win the prize!
What is that used for, typically? |
