I am using documents with complex styles. Certain styles are reverting to 8 point. When I modify them to 11 point or change the styles of the text that the style is applied to and then save, on opening the document again, the text has reverted back to 8 point and not the 11 point that I set before save.
Can anyone help me?

Make sure that "Automatically update document styles" is cleared in the Templates and Add-Ins dialog box. Then you can modify the style so that the changes stick.

To display the dialog box, first display the Developer tab and then click the Document Template button. Here's how to display the Developer tab: Click File tab | Options. In the Customize Ribbon category, click to select the tab.
