![]() I need to index a complete document of 60,000 words. I don't want to be selective. Is there a quick way to do this? Thx for any help anyone can provide. Matt |

It sounds rather like what you're describing is a concordance (ie a list of all words). Correct?

Yes! That's it.

OK, so what info does the concordance need to return? Frequency count? Page #s?

Hi Paul - thanks for your replies. I am writing a novel and wish to know if I have over-used certain words. I figured that a list of all words with page numbers would tell me that. I have created a separate file, having removed the common words such as the, a, an, it, on etc. Thanks again, Matt

This doesn't provide the page number, but will list each word and frequency of use:

To get a frequency count of all words in a document, see, for example: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...sage-same.html

It is not an empty file. It is a Word template add-in. Did you read the links explaining how to load and use an add-in?
The add-in was written with Word 2003. So the toolbar/menu will appear on the Word 2007/2010/2013 ribbon AddIns tab. You will have to store the template in a trusted location. |
