Word Heading Level 1 will not stay (2010)
I have multiple documents that start with Heading Level 1.0.
Document #1 - Heading 1.0 Document #2 - Heading 2.0 Document #3 - Heading 3.0 Etc. Every time I open Document #2/3, the Heading Level 1 restarts at 1.0 even though I have already defined it to start at 2.0. I need to know how to fix this so that whenever the document opens it reflects what I need. TIA

Attach your numbering to your headings using the rules set out at How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Word 2007 and Word 2010
and it should work.

Sorry, I'm not seeing where that article talks about this. I have my headings set up correctly.
