I am writing a new book advocating 500 new nuclear reactors for USA in order to prevent China to achieve world dominance.
I plan to max out quotes from related articles & books. What are the limits? How many lines can I quote in one block with source properly indicated? How many blocks from the same book? Thanks. |

That's not a word-processing question, really. It's more of a question of whether what you're proposing to do amounts to plagiarism and/or a copyright breach. Those are moral/legal questions this board really can't help with.

Hi Paul,
I don't like the insinuation that I am trying to plagiarize. I think my original post made it abundantly clear that I want to stay within acceptable bounds for quoting other writers. I don't have any moral problem with legitimate quoting, I believe it makes the book better. |

There was no insinuation. Please re-read what I said. I simply made the observation that you might run the risk of being accused of plagiarism and/or a copyright breach if you include too much and that these are not word-processing questions, but moral/legal ones.
