Default Clickable Links Converted to hyperlink texts automatically when I open a word doc

I use MS-Word 2007 in a windows XP environment. Recently, out of nowhere, all the links in the word documents I receive turns into hyperlinks texts when I try to open the word document. It creates a mess in the format when I view it.

Is there a reason why? And, how can I fix this to go back to see the links as ordinary clickable links? Please advise.
