Hi,
I am trying to copy tables from a word document(2003 format) and paste it to another word document but the formatting is getting lost while pasting. I tried setting the following options under cut, copy and paste section in Advance settings of word. Both my source word document and the destination worddocument are present in the same program and on the same machine. Try 1 : Pasting within the same document ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Pasting between documents ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Pasting between documents when style definitions conflict ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Pasting from other programs ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Try 2 : Pasting within the same document ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Pasting between documents ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Pasting between documents when style definitions conflict ---> "Use Destination Styles" Pasting from other programs ---> "Keep Source Formatting" Table data which is actually accommodated on a single page on the source word document gets spanned to 2 pages on the destination word document after pasting the table from source to destination word document. Please help me out if you have a better solution to overcome this formatting issue. |

If the page margins are different it could give you this result.

Hi Charles.. Thanks for the reply..But, page margins are exactly same in both the source and Destination word documents.. For your information, Both the documents are created on the fly from the same application to process certain business logic.. |
