Hi,
I am pretty new to MS office 2010. May I know if there's anyway I can create page styles like how open office writer allows? I am creating a template and I need to customize several pages like Coverpage (with fixed fields, background image, fonts etc), Backpage, Portrait pages (with fixed header/footer, margins, paragraphing, indentation etc), Landscape page (with another set of fixed header/footer, margins, paragraphings). I am looking for ways to ease my job while creating documents later on whereby I do not need to keep adjusting the header/footer from portrait pages to landscape, and back and forth within a document. Is there any ways I could do so? Look forward to your replies soon. Thanks, Janice |

Not familiar with Open Office.
I suspect that a combination of templates and AutoText would meet your goal. Templates in Microsoft Word Automated Boilerplate Using Microsoft Word Learn to use Styles, including the Header and Footer Styles. In a document with both portrait and landscape pages you might want to have Header-Lanscape and Footer-Landscape styles. Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word Any time you spend learning about Styles in Word will be time well-spent and quickly recovered in increased productivity. Each section in Word can have different Headers/footers. Switching from portrait to landscape and back means section breaks even if you don't say anything about them.
