Alright, I sent you step-be-step instructions with pictures of all the dialog boxes to do this. See if you can do the first 10 pages and page 301 should be no problem. Please do what I suggested about making copies of the first 10 pages in seperate files and also what Kenyon suggested about making copies of of the entire document.

Once he gets the first ten pages right (pagination) he can just insert this into his thesis and delete the origianl 10 pages--right Charles?

It depends on whether he has more sections. Word inserts sections willy-nilly when you change page orientation or column arrangement. I don't know what the equation editor does.

I trust that even if not finished, he will be ahead of the game with the help you gave him.
