Win 7 Ultimate
Office 2007 The problem I'm having is that sometimes spellchecker will start checking for UK spelling, but in another part of the same document it will show that it's checking for English US spelling e.g. I recently checked (English UK) a document & added CardioPulmonary to the dictionary. When I now check that document again it’s flagging that word up as an error (in English US). The default dictionary is set to English UK, which it uses for an error earlier in the doc (same session – i.e. document not closed/reopened) & I can’t even add the word to the English US dictionary, as the “Add to Dictionary” button is greyed-out. Things I've already tried:
It’s almost as if word is ‘assuming’ that if it’s not recognized as correct US spelling, then it must be wrong! Or is this just another one of those arbitrary MS glitches? Anyway, has anyone got any idea what's going on here, & how to stop it happening? TIA |
