![]() I have a protected fillable form word 2010 document that I downloaded. Besides the standard fillable fields, there are several tables that are supposed to be filled out by the user. In most tables, spell check appears to work fine, but in one specific table, almost all words are flagged IN JUST TWO SPECIFIC CELLS!! I stronlgy suspect an issue with the language settings, but as far as I can tell, the language is set as US English throughout the document (not even sure if this setting is possible to change for just a specific section or table). I've checked this forum and others, found lots of people having problems with spell check, but nothing like this one. I know the protections on the document are probably going to make this difficult to resolve, but would appreciate any ideas out there. I'm also wondering if there is a way to spell check inside the fillable fields of a protected form document. I think there isn't, which is annoying, but I suspect that's one I just will have to live with. Thanks, Troy |

Actually, language formatting can be applied to a single character of text. You can select the problem table cells and apply the desired language via Review tab | Language | Set Proofing Language.
For more on language formatting, read the article at http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/MasterSpellCheck.htm.
