I'm using word 2002 and the language setting keeps turning off. This is driving me crazy. There doesn't see to be any rhyme or reason to it. And often times -- just now, for instance -- i had to set it more than once before it stayed on. is there some special keystroke that turns it on and off that I may be typing unknowingly?
I've tried everything I can think of to find out what's going on. I thought that maybe it might have to do with the section breaks in my document -- the top part will have all the wavy red lines, but below that break, they aren't there. This is really annoying and I'd like to find out how to fix this. ![]() |

I'd suggest you check the language/proofing setings for the Style definitions you're using. Similarly, check your settings under Tools|Options|Spelling & Grammar. If the 'Check Document' button is active, click it to reset the document so that everything that's already there is marked for re-checking.

I'm unfamiliar where to find the language/proofing settings for the style definitions. Can you help me out? I looked also under the tools/options/spelling&grammar part and didn't see anything for 'check document.'
