Visio would work better for this. Would SmartArt work better than shapes? It allows for text in some places. Otherwise, if your lines are horizontal or vertical, you could add Text Boxes. For angled lines you would have to use Word Art, I believe. You might want to check into Mind Mapping software. http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki....php/Main_Page
