Unhappy Changing Fonts Within a Document

Ok, so here's my problem. I had written this story with Word, and I'm sending bits of said story to a friend through e-mail. Since I have a hard time doing so, he's helping me revise grammar related mistakes. But, I just now noticed that some of the text he sends back is in a completely different font! Since some of it is still in it's original font, I'm wondering if there's a way to convert all text of one font to another without manually going in and seeking out every changed bit. Thanks.
