It certainly sounds like a printer driver problem, but I wonder if it's possible that some weirdness is triggering font-space condensing. Since it doesn't show up in viewing your document, it's highly unlikely, but the same effect can be created by consensing font spacing by a large number.
After printing, is the doucment still OK as viewed, or has it taken on the overprint characteristics? If the latter, try clearing character formatting by selecting the text adn pressing Ctrl+spacebar. Best, Ulodesk |

Thanks for that, but I'm not much further on!
Opened the document again tonight (remember it's already repaired & saved... or so it said!) but it came up again with the fault that it could repair by saving - this time I closed the dialogue box with the red cross. On screen it looked fine but the page I selected to print came out like before, although it looked fine on the screen. The highlight and ctrl+space just wrecked the layout of the whole document. I tried another document (one I made last night rather than one I edited) again onscreen looked fine but printing was a disaster. I tried the ctrl+space again and the only visible sign of change was a reduction in font size. It still printed on top of each other - I'll try and attach a scan of it. |
