Is it possible to disable editting but only enable formatting for text in MS word. By formatting the only thing i am interested is the strike through option. This is posssible in excel.
Steps to do this in excel. 1. Add text to a cell of excel 2. Select the Review>Protect Sheet option. 3. Check the Format Cells checkbox, enter a password and click ok. 4. Re-Enter the password and click ok. 5. Try to edit the cell: Editing is disabled. 6. Right click on the cell and select the Format cells option. 7. Navigate to the font tab and select the strike trouugh checkbox under effects. 8. Click on ok: The text is now striked. Is the same functionality possible in word??????? Make use of the "Limit formatting to a selection of styles" option in the Restrict Formatting and Editing task pane (Review tab | Restrict Editing). Clear all styles except for the ones that you want to allow in the document.
