![]() On each Heading Style paragraph, I am getting a new page after the following Normal paragraph which I do not want. I have checked the paragraph format and the Heading 1 style - and Page Break Before is not set. I cannot see any page breaks before or after a heading. The new page only occurs when I have a paragraph with Normal Style after it. The new page comes after the Normal paragraph. What else clould cause this behaviour? |

Have you made sure that "Page break before" is not set for Normal style?
Also, if this is an outline with mostly heading styles, note that the "Keep with next" setting (which is enabled by default for Headings 1-3) may cause trouble, as Word tries to keep several successive headings together on the same page. At some point, there must be a page break, and the break may appear seemingly at random.

Solved it. It was not page Break Before. It was caused by Keep With Next. If you have all Headings with Keep with Next, when you add a Normal Paragraph following the first heading, all the subsequent headings Keep Together and so they flip over to the next page - which is why I cannot see a Page Break. |
