Default How do I prevent the "author" or "owner" fields from being changed?

I am experiencing an issue with one of my co-workers in that he is taking my work product and basically claiming it as his own when he presents it in meetings.

How can I prevent changes to the author or owner fields in the properties window/dialog so that in the future I can retain the ability to claim the work I do as my own?

Any help would be appreciated.

TX!
