2. The "Suppress endnotes" option is in the Page Setup dialog box, which is why you need it.

3. This is in the Footnote and Endnote dialog box. Right-click an endnote and choose Note Options from the context menu. At "Location," choose "End of section" (for "Endnotes"). Choosing "Whole document" for "Apply changes to" should work (but you should verify that it actually does).
