Default Top margin

The page view in Word doesn't show the 1" margin. I've gone to margins where it indicates I have 1" all around. I've gone into view and tried all views with the same result. It is presently in the view print mode but the cursor stays at the top with no margin. However, it does print with the margin. I would like to be able to see the print page. What have I done wrong?

Show white space.

In a two-page document, go to the division between the pages. Double-click there.

or

File > Options > Display
Check the box for show white space between pages in print layout view.
