Yeah, RTF was one of the strategies I tried. However, it's not clear that MSWord correctly interprets RTF footnotes: when I import an RTF file into Word, footnotes are translated into 12-pt font (rather than the standard 10-pt) and assigned paragraph type "Footnote" (rather than the standard "Footnote Text" and "Footnote Reference" (for both instances of the numeral) that arise in a natively generated footnote. P.S. those two native footnote syles, strangely enough, do not appear in my styles sidebar, even when I click "Show - All Styles" - ?? Thanks. Jeff |
