I am trying to insert roman page numerals at the beginning of the document. The first three pages are supposed to have no page numbers, so I need to start with number "iv" on the fourth page. I inserted a section break and went insert page number but the problem is in the footer it says "same as previous" and I don't have any way of changing it. I don't know how to get inside the footer info to make changes. So it inserts numbers on the previous pages. This seems to be a problem with Macintosh; I only know how to access the footer menu in the PC version. The Mac version doesn't seem to give you any way of accessing it. I have Word 2011 for Mac Home and Office edition.
Does anyone know how to do this? |

You might try asking your question on the Word Mac forum on Microsoft Answers.
If Word 2011 shares the ribbon interface of Word 2010, as I suspect. Look on the INsert tab for a Header drop-down. It should have a spot to edit header. Once there, you will have a header/footer ribbon that lets you change the same as previous setting. |
