This is a cross-post to a question asked in the Microsoft Answers forums with no responses.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...2-16a57ac0913e I have had to reinstall Word 2010 on my Vista 64 bit computer because of a trashed hard drive. I use a number of Add-Ins and Workgroup and User templates, many of which have macros. I have designated my workgroup templates folder, startup folder, and templates folder as trusted locations. I checked the box to trust subfolders. With some templates, macros are blocked and can be enabled. This is true even though they are in trusted locations and other templates in those locations do not have their macros blocked. Note, I also have Word 2003 and Word 2007 installed. They have their own separate locations for these files. I have not checked for the problem in Word 2007 yet because I only use Word 2007 when I am checking compatibility. I apologize for the cross-posting. If an answer is given anywhere I will link to it in each of my postings and and mark them all as answered. While it is not a big deal to click on Enable Macros for each of these Add-Ins or templates, it is annoying. |
