Hi all,
I have a document that I have created and used in Notebook Layout view. The first section is a list of texts that I am currently using for my research, whilst I use the section tabs at the side of the page for more detailed notes on each text. In effect, the first section is called 'Literature Review', whilst each of the other sections is named after the text it refers to. This is great, and I find the tabs a really helpful way of organising my notes. My problem arises because not all the computers I am using have Office installed on them. And so I cannot access the files in Notebook view. I appreciate I can export the document as a pdf, but then the sections are simply listed one after the other (and in a bizarre order). This is not so useful; although each section is only 4 or 5 pages long, the document is rapidly becoming quite lengthy, and the easy access to the contents through the tabs is becoming an essential feature of navigating it. Does any one have any suggestions of how to export from Word so that the easy access to the different sections that are facilitated by the tabs in Notebook layout are maintained? The file does not need to be editable once exported. Many thanks, tim |
