We have an ERP system creating merge letters. The letter template must be set up with defined bookmarks for the merge fields.
My problem is that I need to repeat the text from a single bookmark several times throughout the letter. I have created cross references to the bookmarks but when the letter is created and the data from ERP is updated to the bookmarks, the bookmarks are effectively removed and the cross references gets an err "Error! Reference source not found." I have no other choice but to create the merge fields as bookmarks based on how the ERP system creates the letters. Is there another way to repeat the text from the bookmark or is there a way of ensuring the bookmark is not deleted? |

You could just use a another instance of the merge field.
See Mail Merge. BTW, it may be obvious that I have no idea what an ERP system is. |
