I need some help with Tabs: I am writing a radio play and it needs to be set out so that the name of the speaker in on the left, and then the words he says are a few inches to the right. I can make a tab for this speech, but if he speaks more than one line of words, Word seems to continue the next line back at the extreme left margin, and not under the tab I made. How do I get it to do this please? Thank you.

Further to my question about Tabs, I have put a screen shot here
http://cellocase.co.uk/tabs.htm to show what I want it to look like. |

Hi Roy,
What you're describing is a hanging indent. See the attached document, in which I've created a paragraph Style named 'Script'. Copy the Style into your document (eg by copying the paragraph break) and it'll be available for use there. To use it, simply type the actor's name, followed by a tab, then their monologue. Apply the 'Script' paragraph Style and you're done. See Word's Help file for more info on Style formating and usage.
