Thanks for your reply. Yes I have updated the TOC and nothing happens. I think there must be something else I need to do. The TOC is in section 1. The first header is in section 2 and the second header is in section 3. It seems the TOC cant see the headers in the other sections. I have applied style header 1 to these headers.
