![]() ![]() I broke it and I don't hnow how to fix it, uh, oops! ![]() OK, seriously, I changed a font of a document so I could copy the doc into AutoCAD Architecture. I changed the font to a Architectural Hand Lettered font, which BTW, didn't work out right. Now when I try and change it back to the original or a different one, all the text will turn into little boxed, tall boxes, boxes with ? mark in it or just plain nothing. I'm stuck and I think I should know the answer, but for the life of me I can't recall what to do. If some kind soul out there could help me and not make fun of me I'd greatly apperciate it! ![]() -- TIA Nick |

Before you try to change the font back, are you able to select all of the data and copy it? If you can paste it into a new document as Unformatted Text you should be able to work with it.

Just tried it. It goes into the new doc as the same font, and then when I try and change it, it does the funny little box thing. I've been spending the whole afternoon re-typing this doc, (100 pages)

Hi Nick,
Restoring from a backup would be an option (you do keep backups, don't you?!). A copy of a thumb drive or email attachment might serve as an alternative if you haven't kept a backup. The 'funny little box thing' is probably related to your choice of font. Perhaps your document was created with a font that supports Unicode characters and you're now trying to view it in a font that doesn't support them.
