I have setup a template for reports I'm writing.
Each time I use the template I edit it using find and replace. The problem is that once I've changed all the mentions of a word I then can't change it back. What I need is to be able to set variables and set these all in one go. Variables like <Client> or <JobStartDate> for example. What's the easiest way to go about this? Should I look into VBA or mailmerge? |

Hi Jago,
You'd probably do well to use a document with formfields for the data entry. For a recent example, see: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...-template.html With such a document, it becomes easy to input something in one place and have all the required replications of it automatically appear wherever else required.
