![]() Using MS Word 2007, I have created a template (.dotx) of a letterhead which has our logo in the header and our address and contact details in the footer. The body of the letter is to be completed each time my staff write a letter. Can anyone help, please, with information on how to protect the footer and header so that they cannot be amended, re-sized or deleted? |

Hi dj8,
If you place your letterhead contents into content controls in the header & footer, you can set those conent controls' properties to non-editable and non-deletable. Not completely secure (a user could still modify them by using Word's Design Mode), but better than nothing. IMHO training, supervision and discipline are the best tools here.

Thank you, Paul, I will investigate the content controls.
