Have just moved from Word 2000 to Word 2010. THere are some differences.
I could previously create a wide variety of menus and commands in the menu bar; now I struggle with a more confusing and limited, it seems Ribbon. One thing I often used was a link to open a specific Word file. The doc would have to be open at the time; In Customize/All Commands, the Command File(OpenFile) [I think] would select an open file in a drop down; I would simply click and drag the Open(OpenFile) command to my selected menu. I don't find such an ability or hyperlink able to be placed on a Ribbon. I might be able to use a macro but that creates other issues. I'd appreciate any help. |
