By definition, the header (and footer) area on a landscape page will be larger than the corresponding header (footer) on a portrait page. What are you trying to achieve?
If you want the header to appear in the same location on landscape and portrait pages, you will have to make use of a text box anchored to the relevant header. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...apeSection.htm.
