I'm working on a book with 30 chapters. I've been using endnotes in each chapter. Before I send the mss to the publisher I'd like to move the notes from the end of each chapter to a single document entitled something like Chapter Notes. But copying the endnotes and pasting them in a new document means losing all the reference numbers.
I understand why this is happening, but is there a workaround -- a way simply to do a screen capture and paste without using Cmd-C. I tried CMD-X but it is inoperative in that mode. Is it possible to create a master document and have all the notes appear as a final chapter? I'm using Word for Mac 2008 and Lion. Many thanks. |
