Dear forum
I (my boss!) would really like the “Table of figures”- which will be created using captions in the document- to have a gap between figure and the title (including on line 2, 3, etc…). For example: Figure x Title This is easy using hanging indent and manually pressing tab in the TOF or caption, but this is a bit is rubbish / difficult to remember everytime / must be perfromed when the document is finished. I think it will be more efficient and effective to use advanced features in word to insert the tab in the caption between Figure x.x and the title. For example, modify the field code/s for figure caption to contain a tab (and be preserved when I enter the next figure)... I’m sure this must be possible, but I can’t figure it out… Any chance of a little help please? Thanks in advance! JB |

You can create an example caption with the desired indentation, select it and create a Building Block (for example in the Quick Part category) from it. Then use the Building Block whenever you want to add such a caption.
