After you have opened the *.dot file with the macros, press Alt+F11 to display the Visual Basic Editor. You can then view and edit the macros the way you did in earlier versions of Word.
Whether the macros work properly in Word 2007 is difficult to tell. Custom toolbars should display on the Add-Ins tab, though.
