With some (slight) modifications it works very well also for combining HTML files. But I'm having trouble with it in this situation: the files to be combined appear in alphabetical order, but on the disc the order is different, so that in the "Combined" file the appropriate order is lost. I wonder if anyone might have some idea as to how to resolve this problem. Thanks!
Consider renaming your documents to be combined, adding a number at the start of each name with sufficient digits so that all documents have the same number of digits. i.e.,
01 **
02 **

10 **
11 **
