Show/Hide save button in application header word 365

AFAIK there isn’t anything in the object model to hide that button, though IIRC there is a registry hack to disable it.

If it's not possible, I'll manage this problem differently by asking the user to rename the document, by clicking on the "Save" button of the custom tab.

The Save button does not provide for renaming. It saves to the same file, name and location. This is if it is the Save command.

Perhaps you should be using a Template instead of a document?
