Simply change:

    .Close SaveChanges:=True

to:

Code:

    .SaveAs FileName:=Split(.FullName, ".doc")(0) & ".pdf", FileFormat:=wdFormatPDF, AddToRecentFiles:=False
    .Close SaveChanges:=False
