If you have added the macros to the document and saved it as a macro enabled template, your colleagues can use it as a Word add-in. You will need to create a ribbon for the template Customize the Office Ribbon (It doesn't take rocket science) as they will not see your local custom ribbon whether or not they have the developer tab displayed. Add your own macros tab to that rivvon.
